History

Scenic View Landscape was founded by LeRoy Larsen. A native to the Salt Lake community, LeRoy has always loved living at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. With the mountains as a back drop, he has a real passion for improving our outdoor living spaces to blend in with the natural beauty of the Greater Salt Lake area. Starting out in 1982, working out of his home, he built what is now one of Utah’s premier landscape companies serving both commercial and residential customers.

Qualifications

Scenic View is fully insured and licensed by the state of Utah. We are State Certified for Backflow testing and pesticide applicating.

Bios

LeRoy Larsen – Owner / President

LeRoy founded Scenic View Landscape in 1982. Currently he employs 35 employees, which make up 5 maintenance crews, 2 enhancement crews, 2 installation crews, 3 sprinkler repair crews, and 1 fertilization crew.

LeRoy has landscaped for customers in Utah, Idaho, California and Alaska.

LeRoy is the recipient of several landscape maintenance and beautification awards along the Wasatch Front.

LeRoy enjoys the outdoors and loves to stop and smell the roses, and will stop and view a sunset… or anywhere to experience a “Scenic View.”

Brandon Calder – Area Maintenance Manager

Brandon has 6 years Landscape experience with the last 3 years working for Scenic View Landscape. He started as Crew Leader in the maintenance division but also worked in the construction division where he closed out all the construction jobs and converted them to maintenance customers. He is very good with all final details on each job and making sure that the customer is completely satisfied. Brandon has a true passion for Landscaping and regularly enrolls in continuing education to further his knowledge and experience.

James Wilson – Irrigation Division Manager

James has been employed with Scenic View Landscape for 9 years. He has over 11 years of experience in the irrigation field. His experience background includes Golf Course installation and repairs, commercial and residential installation and repairs.

James is a licensed backflow tester with the State of Utah and regularly attends conventions and seminars for continuing education.

Laurie DiStefano – Office Administrator

Laurie has been with Scenic View Landscape for over 9 years. Prior work experience includes nursery and floral design for 3 years, and employed by Martin Door Mfg. For 10 years as Accounts Receivable Manager. Education includes various college courses in Accounting and Business Management.

Doug Blackhurst - Sales and Marketing Manager

Doug has 25 years of landscape maintenance and project management experience.  He also has 15 years experience in sales and marketing.  He has a real passion for excellence in customer service.
